Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.

Rachel explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."


The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Wow! My Dog, a mobile pet salon.

Rachel took Toto right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.

Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. These cuts were so bad that they bled."

Marianna De las Vegas - a Wow! My Dog read more client - posted a Yelp comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.

Wow! My Dog also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. Rachel said, "Juliann told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."

Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
